27. Megan's Birth Story with Baby #2 (TOLAC and Successful VBAC)
In this episode of The Vibrantly You® Podcast, Meg shares her deeply personal VBAC birth story — from planning a TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Cesarean) to navigating a fast-moving labor, a powerful unmedicated start, an intentional epidural choice, and a surprising postpartum hemorrhage.
After a planned C-section with her first baby, Meg walks us through her decision to pursue a vaginal birth after cesarean and what it took to feel informed, prepared, and supported going into birth #2. She breaks down her mindset, her physical training during pregnancy, and the moment-by-moment progression of her labor — including what it really felt like to push and pull her daughter up to her chest for the first time.
Whether you're preparing for a VBAC, curious about the differences between first and second births, or processing your own delivery experience, this honest and vivid birth story will inspire and empower you.
Topics Covered:
- How Meg prepped her body and mind for a successful VBAC
- What to consider when choosing between VBAC and repeat C-section
- The role of a supportive provider and doula during TOLAC
